Data Privacy Statement
The terms used in this data privacy statement always refer equally to all gender identities. Gender specific terms are avoided to improve readability.
This data privacy statement informs you about the data processing operations (in particular about the type, scope and purpose of data collection) when you visit or use the equip.co.at website and when you contact us.
We (details provided in the website credits) will process your personal data within the context of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Data Protection Act (DPA) and the Telecommu-nications Act (TKG).
1. Contact
If you contact us via e-mail, phone or letter, the personal data you provide will be processed for the purpose of handling your enquiry or for subsequent questions and/or to perform a contract. At this time, you will be sent separate information relating to data privacy.
We only gather such personal data that is required to carry out and fulfil our services, or personal data that you have provided voluntarily.
The data will be processed by the data controller or its employees, will be kept safe and then for-warded either internally or to a third party only if this is necessary for the purpose of processing the contract, or if you have given your consent to this previously. The data is processed either on the basis of a contract formation process or contract performance (Art 6 Par 1 lit b GDPR), your consent (Art 6 Par 1 lit a GDPR), or to safeguard the legitimate interests of the data controller (Art 6 Par 1 lit f GDPR).
If your personal data is processed (exclusively) on the basis of your consent, then, should you withdraw your consent, your data will no longer be processed and will be deleted. Personal data will otherwise be deleted after six months, provided that no legal obligation exists to retain the data for a longer period or if we are authorised to continue processing this data.
2. Provision of the online offer and web hosting
We process the user’s data so that we can provide our online services to them. We process the user’s IP address for this purpose. This is necessary for sending the content and functions of our online services to the user’s browser or end device.
Purposes of the processing include the provision of our online offer and user friendliness as well as an IT infrastructure (operation and provision of information systems and technical devices (com-puters, servers, etc.)). Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Art. 6 Par 1 lit f GDPR).
To provide our online offer, we use memory, computing capacity and software from the web host-ing company Mittwald. The web hosting company provides services in the field of providing an IT infrastructure and associated services (memory and/or computing capacity);
Service provider: Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG, Königsberger Straße 4-6, 32339 Espelkamp, Germany;

Data processing agreement: https://www.mittwald.de/faq/service-informationen/faq/datenschutz-alles-wichtige-zur-dsgvo).
The web hosting services we use also include sending, receiving and storing e-mails. For these pur-poses, the addresses of the recipients and senders are processed, as is additional information relat-ing to the e-mail delivery (such as the providers involved) and the content of the respective e-mails.
3. Web form for job listings
Use of the “Job listings” online form requires applicants to send us the necessary data so we can assess their application and make a selection. Which information is required follows on from the job description and the information stated on the online forms.
The data is transmitted to us in an encrypted form according to state-of-the-art technological standards. If applicants send us applications by e-mail, note that such e-mails sent over the internet are not encrypted. As a rule, e-mails are encrypted in transit, but not on the servers from which they are sent and received. We therefore cannot assume any responsibility for the transmission path of the job application between the sender and its receipt on our server.
If we are notified of special categories of personal data on an unsolicited basis and this is provided voluntarily by applicants, the data will be processed on the basis of Art 9 Par 2 lit a GDPR.
Applicants shall provide their consent if they want to be included in an applicant pool, if this is avail-able. The applicants will be informed that their consent to being included in the talent pool is volun-tary, that it does not have any impact on an ongoing application process, and that they can with-draw their consent any time time with future effect.
Legal basis: Application process as a pre-contractual or contractual relationship (Art 6 Par 1 lit b GDPR); legitimate interests (Art 6 Par 1 lit f GDPR).
4. Cookies
For reasons of data protection, this website does not track nor assess user behaviour. It uses only those cookies that are technically required and a functional cookie (which is required to differenti-ate the language that is displayed, German or English). These do not forward data to third parties and are deleted immediately. If these necessary operations are qualified as processing of personal data, they shall safeguard the legitimate interests of the data controller (Art 6 Par 1 lit f GDPR).
5. Data security
This website uses HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure), a communication protocol on the World Wide Web that represents transport encryption (data privacy through technology design pursuant to Art 25 Par 1 GDPR).
TLS (Transport Layer Security), an encryption protocol for secure transmission of data over the in-ternet, is used for protecting confidential data.
